Description: 4 to 6 cm long, 1 to 2 cm wide; body translucent, almost white; cerata are translucent except the tips which are white followed by a colorless ring, then a ring of bright orange; red stripe down the center of the dorsal surface; cerata are slender and pointed; closely resembles Phidiana crassicornis, but it lacks the neon blue streak.

Habitat: Normally found subtidally, yet it can be found on floats and pilings.

Natural History: It feeds on hydroids and other invertebrates.
