Description: Rarely exceed a diameter of 2 or 3 mm; cirri are usually reddish in color; tubes are calcareous and coiled.

Habitat: Commonly found on the shells of mussels and other molluscs.

Natural History: They live in large populations. In reproduction, they retain their eggs and brood their young. This spiral tube worm is found throughout the Puget Sound.
